The Faculty of Business Management kindly invites you to participate in a scientific seminar "The Research in Marketing: Projects, Opportunities and Challenges: a Romanian Faculty Experience" by Bogdan Nichifor, PhD (Vasile Alecsandri University of Bacau, Romania).
 
The seminar will be taking place on the 4th of December, 3 pm, room SRK-I 704, Saulėtekio Ave. 11.
 
Abstract: 
Universities, along with specialized research centers, are the “factories” where the scientific research is done. Romania, as a developing country, is aware of the importance of scientific research and makes some serious efforts in order to stimulate and consolidate the impact of the research in its economic and social development. In this direction, Faculty of Economic Sciences of the Vasile Alecsandri University of Bacau, as an established entity of the Romanian education system, tries its best to contribute with its experiences to local, regional and even national research process. Marketing is one of the areas where the staff of the faculty tries to bring its experience to work. In recent years, our staff was part of some research projects, developed internally or with the contribution of external partners. Developing them was sometimes challenging, but overall the experience brought and developed new competencies and knowledge. Sharing these experiences is a good way to find new opportunities and partners, but more than that is to increase de potential and efficiency of own work. Our discussion will focus on the type of research projects, the topic, the team members and their competencies, the partners, the research results, and on opportunities and challenges associated with each project. 
 
Information about the presenter:
Bogdan Nichifor holds a PhD from Marketing. Dr Nichifor is a member of the Council of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Vasile Alecsandri University of Bacau; Coordinator of “Marketing and business communication” master program of the Faculty of Economic Sciences; Editor in chief of the International Journal "Studies and scientific researches. Economics edition". Research interests: International marketing and communication, International advertising, Consumer behaviour, Online marketing.
